Hy-Pro Employee Flies High

Hy-Pro employee, Flt Lt Rich Bagnall, managed to combine his day job at Hy-Pro with his Royal Air Force Air Cadet Officer role, when he took part in a fly past of the Hy-Pro factory in March.  The Air Cadets from 299 (Exmouth) Squadron ATC were treated to a flight in a soon to be retired Sea-King helicopter flown by a former Exmouth Cadet, Lt Cdr Robert Bond RN.

The Hy-Pro Board, who were meeting at the time, and the workforce were delighted by the impressive circling Sea King.  Sadly the Westland Sea King helicopters are due to be retired from service and will be replaced by the new Merlin.  The Sea Kings have a distinguished career dating back to 1969, serving in the Gulf War and the Falklands as well as their better known role in air sea rescue.

Rich has been in the Air Training Corps  since the age of 13 and, having stayed on to instruct, he has been the Commanding Officer of the Exmouth Squadron since 2004.  Rich devotes at least two nights a week and many weekends to the Air Cadets and has recently been honoured by being awarded his second Certificate for Meritorious Service from the Lord Lieutenant of Devon.  The Certificate recognises service of an exceptionally high order by people connected with the Reserve Forces or uniformed cadet organisations.

As a Hy-Pro Employee, Rich’s day job in the sales team is less exciting but equally important to our customers!  To see our Sales Team visit:
