We have been advocating buying British and we have started with a series of quality new assembly benches from Benchmaster.

Hydraulic valves are heavy and, in the past, we have struggled to find suitable assembly benches.  Metal frames with heavy wooden tops encased in steel are essential.  Room underneath for tote pans and sufficient depth for component storage is also a must for us.

Benchmaster Ltd, located in Ashton-Under-Lyne in Lancashire, came up trumps with a superb selection of heavy duty production furniture.  Prices were competitive and delivery was fast.  Most important of all, everything was manufactured in the UK.

Our only problem now is people with our old benches insisting they need new ones!
