Hy-Pro To Attend METS Marine Equipment Trade Show Next Month

The countdown is on for METS (the Marine Equipment Trade Show) taking place in Amsterdam in November and Hy-Pro can’t wait to attend. The three-day event is being held at the RAI Amsterdam on the 14^th, 15^thand 16^th of November! “this event is the most visited B2B leisure marine equipment show which has been bringing the marine industry together for decades.”

Hy-Pro is proud to be appearing at this well-known event. Our Sales Manager James Roberts will be running the stand (stand 03.434) and he is very much looking forward to meeting our existing and prospective customers within the marine industry from as far away as Australia and New Zealand.

We will be displaying our range of marine products including our hydraulic gear pumps and actuators for marine autopilot steering. Amongst the new products on display we are very excited to be including the new Compact Linear Actuator.

This unit is designed for smaller or lighter yachts with space restrictions and the lower thrust requirements, and at full extension is only 890 mm long.  That’s half a metre shorter than its bigger brother.  Giving 5000 N of thrust with its 1.5 litre pump and 50w motor, the new mini actuator is still powerful for its size but typically only draws 14 amps.  This is good news for the all-important batteries and brings down the cost of a course computer for the yachtsman.  Depending on vessel weight, sail plan and rudder forces the new actuator is suitable for sailing yachts of up to 45 feet (15 m).

This marine engineering show is certainly not one to be missed, it attracts people from all over the world and we are looking forward to seeing autopilot manufacturers also in attendance such as Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, Coursemaster etc. If you are thinking of attending METS, then make sure you come along and say hello to James and other members of the Sales Team!
