Hy-Pro are Open for Business

We would like to assure all of our customers and suppliers that we are still open for business here in Devon. Due to the temporary closure of some of our customers and the need to maintain social distancing, we have reduced the number of people on site down to about 1/3. Everyone who can do so is working from home.

Our technical sales team are all at the end of a phone as usual, as are people in our accounts and purchasing departments.

We do maintain good levels of stock for most of our popular products but our machine shop is currently running at reduced capacity. This means that our usual stocks will fall. For this reason, I would ask that our regular OEM customers and distributors consider their requirements at least one month in advance. We are currently scheduling our machines for the second half of May.

Many in manufacturing have been influenced by inaccurate media-spun reporting at the beginning of the ‘lockdown’. We were faced by workforces that thought they should not be coming out to work at all. Some simply did not turn up. Meanwhile, we were being asked for spares for agriculture, fishing and transport. We have now had our position as manufacturers clarified by the Secretary Of State For Business.
