V4-40 G3/8 Sectional Spool Valve 40 Lpm and specifically its practical application with
Tunnel Engineering Services (UK) Ltd who have built an enviable reputation, since their formation in 1992, for the design and manufacture of tunnelling equipment within the construction industry and for many major infrastructure projects.
The TES UK Tunnel Boring Machines are available in both Open Face or EPB (earth pressure balance mode) and are designed for flexibility, versatility and reliability with fast set up and launch time, the system can typically be set up in a day. Available in a variety of sizes to suit all tunnelling requirements, the machines have been utilised on many projects including: United Utilities West East Link Main (WELM) pipeline through to the current HS2 contracts.
The V4-40 is a low profile sectional spool valve which can be lever, solenoid, cable or pneumatic operated. Suitable for open or closed centre circuits. The range includes spool options for 2, 3 & 4 position valves, all with excellent metering characteristics and with fine metering spools also available. Direct acting or pilot operated main relief valves can be incorporated into the inlet cover. There is an extensive range of lever options, inter-sections, solenoid sections and ancillaries available.
On the solenoid sections the powerful internal oil pilot is switched by solenoid operated cartridges using a compact 24-watt DC coil. A damping orifice fitted in the pilot line eliminates the harshness associated with standard direct acting solenoid valves, giving a positive feel to the control system. The V4-40E solenoid valves can be built in to a valve assembly containing manual valves and any of the extensive range of V4-40 ancillary valves.
