Hy-Pro Update PR+ Reversing Pump Shape

At Hy-Pro we are constantly looking at ways in which we can improve our products and the service we provide for our customers.  

As part of this ongoing development program, we have made an adjustment to the external shape of our PR+ Reversing Pump. Going forward, all pumps in this range will now be manufactured with a compact square shape, as seen in the image above.  

Why Have We Made this Change? 

As we have discussed in previous blogs, demand for our products has significantly increased and as such, we have purchased and incorporated into our production line, a second pallet loaded Okuma machine.  

By using a square billet, we are able to maximise the machine’s capacity while producing parts more efficiently, as well as offsetting the rising costs of raw materials.  

What Does that Mean for you? 

The change to a compact square shape will not have any effect on the functionality of the PR+ reversing pump range. The change simply allows us to continue to meet the ever-growing demand by increasing capacity and reducing costs.  

For end-users, we can promise the following: 

• New shape pumps are interchangeable with the old shape. 
• Internal components remain unchanged 
• Part numbers and performance remain unchanged 
• Spare motors and seal kits remain unchanged 
• The mounting foot remains unchanged 

The below diagram shows that the new and current pumps are identical apart from the below dimensions.
